Difference between HIV test...

Hi guys, thanks for this excellent forum. I have a question regarding testing. Is a rapid finger prick HIV 1 & 2 antibody test a third generation test?? And the DUO test a 4’th generation?

Is anyone of the 2 conclusive at 9-10 weeks??

Thanks in advance

Finger prick and oral swab tests do not comply to generations of test. Since these are self / home testing kits. However, these test should give accurate negative result post 12 weeks from exposure.

Only standard antibody tests, tests that requires your blood to be sent to the lab and it look for a 'cut off index' specifically less than 1. 00 to determine whether your body is producing antibody to the viral infection complies to generation of tests.

IV Generation test can provide you with a conclusive result as early as 28 days post exposure and the other generations at 6-8 weeks.

The above information shouldn't concern you. As you were told clearly that you had no risk whatsoever. You don't need any HIV testing.

Please see a therapist as ANM adviced you because it is not usual for some one with out any HIV risk to test.

Not sure why you keep asking for advice here when you don't accept any of it. You don't have any medical training, but the only thing you believe in is your own science fiction theories. See a therapist about this.
