Thank you. Yes, I have been incredibly stressed about the whole situation. Luckily I have a friend that was going through almost the same situation, and we have talked. He told me that the 6 week test was a pretty good indicator that everything was fine, but I have been on the internet too much and got myself worried. I will keep everyone informed when I get my 3 months test. And I think my numbness around my ear is tension/sinus headache. Took some Advil Sinus Liquigels, and within abotu 30 minutes, it was gone.
I say 6-8 weeks is a very good indication. 5-6 weeks is a good indication.
Your symptoms can be caused by stress and just that fact that you are here I will say more then likely it is stress related.
Vance, thank you! I have been rading some of the messages on here, but there are just so many to go thru. I have a coworker that told me about this site, I can't give out his name, nor do I even know what his -name- is on here, but I've been asking him questions. Wee are kind of going thru the same situation, just different time frames, and some different symptoms. I just had a test done a few days ago, and it came back negative. It was what is called a duotest. I think I read one message that said that a test like that at 4 weeks is a very good indicator of infection status, although mine is closer to 5 and a half to 6 weeks.
I've also had diahrea for 3 weeks solid, with groin pain, and some weight lose. Just trying to get my bearings on this whole situation, and not freak myself out like I've read some people on here have. But I will take what you say as truth, because you all on here probably know way more than I ever could on this subject.
No it is not a symptom of HIV and even if you get symptoms that are listed on thousands of websites they really mean nothing. HIV does not have to have any symptoms associated with it. Testing is the only way to know your status at 3 months post exposure.
