HIV/Aid Exposure

Hello,

I Had unprotected sex with a woman, 4 weeks afterward I got tested , urine and blood drawn, and the tests came back negative. Well a week after that, after getting drunk I woke up with a slight sore throat which developed into a mild fever, I would probably call it a cold.
Should I be worried? Or should I relax and just get another test done?

Thank you

follow up at 3 months for a conclusive result.

(pretty sure you just have a common cold)

THE WINDOW PERIOD IS 6 MONTHS NOT 3!! IN SOME CASES IT WOULD BE 9 MONTHS TOO TO DETECT HIV IN THE BODY!! DEPENDING HOW STRONG AND FIT THE IMMUNE SYSTEM IS IN A PARTICULAR INDIVIDUAL\

do you know what kind of test you had?  if it was a duo...testing for antigens and antibody both...then it would be a very good indication of your status...but still needs to be followed up at 3 months for a conclusive result.

u MUST HAVE A TEST FOR HIV 1 AND 2 ANTI BODY AT 3RD MONTH!! IF U HAVE TESTED NEGATIVE GOOD, BUT MAKE SURE YOU REPEAT THE TEST ON THE 6TH MONTH, IF U AHVE TESTED NEGATIVE AFTER 6TH MONTH NOT AT ALL TO WORRY!! USE CONDOOMS FROM NOW ON!!
