HIV DNA Test after 16 days

I am living in U.K. and I will appreciate any help with these questions:

a. Should a HIV DNA Test after 16 days of exposure be considered highly accurate?

b. Does DNA test tests for both HIV 1 and 2 (all strains)?

dna test is suggested at 21 days for full accuracy although it is not 100 percent accurate rna test is more accurate sooner if its available where you are .4th generation tests are the newest most sensitive tests.an antibody test can be used in conjuction or at a later date to diagnose.

but if you didnt have a risk there may be no need for testing and save you some anxiety.

Hi Vance, I have explained the risk before and as you analysed the DNA result came negative. For the peace of my mind (related to my encounters), I will appreciate your response on these questions:
