HIV SUBTYPE E

I had a protected sexual relationship with a Thai girl I met in Thailand, Phuket. 3 month later I had a single enlarge lymph node. I did 3 Elisa tests, at 4 month, 5.5 month and 7 month of my last possible exposure in Thailand. One of these tests was Abbott AG/AB DUO hiv 1 + 2.
MY GUESTION IS:

1.are these new Elisa Test are able to detect all HIV 1 antibodies, including hiv 1 subtype E ?

My all three test game back negative.

2.One more thing is I read on the cdc website statement says: the new hiv elisa test are able to detect all NON HIV SUBTYE B, what does this mean?
Thanks

What about subtypes E and I?

One of the CRFs is called A/E because it is thought to have resulted from hybridization between subtype A and some other "parent" subtype E. However, no one has ever found a pure form of subtype E. Confusingly, many people still refer to the CRF A/E as "subtype E" (in fact it is most correctly called CRF01_AE).2

Subtype A and CRF A/G predominate in west and central Africa, with subtype A possibly also causing much of the Russian epidemic4. Subtype D is generally limited to east and central Africa; A/E is prevalent in south-east Asia, but originated in central Africa; F has been found in central Africa, south America and eastern Europe; G and A/G have been observed in western and eastern Africa and central Europe.

There is not a such thing as a true subtype E, it's called CRF01_AE or a/e, which can be detected in all tests.
