Hiv risk

Hello all recently I engaged in sexual intercourse with a pro. During our session she got on top for maybe a min or two. After she got off of me the condom was broken. I panicked and she kept telling me that she was clean. We both went to the E.R where they treated us for the most common stds. I asked the doctor on duty about Hiv and she said that i shouldn't be worried about hiv after a single exposure that herpes would be more of a threat. The registered nurse also said the same thing, the next day I went and talked to my doctor about it and she that after a single exposure it would be hard for to get it and I shouldn't lose any sleep over this. I just wanted to know an I the only one overreacting and should I worry about talking a hiv test before three months.

I wouldn't be too overly concerned.  Yes, you had a risk.  However, the condom protected you for most of the intercourse, which is good.

Take a DUO test at 28 days.
