It's a good example of how hard is to contract HIV and how other activities outside of the already mentioned (every-day-no-sexual activities specially) don't carry any risk.
HIV is passed:
Unprotected vaginal and/or anal sex
IV drugs
Mother to unborn/nursing child
HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child
Really? Thank you so much. Just so I can help others who have these concerns, could you elaborate as to why? I'm in college and there are a lot of scare mongers out freaking people out.
