Really? Thank you so much. Just so I can help others who have these concerns, could you elaborate as to why? I'm in college and there are a lot of scare mongers out freaking people out.
HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child
HIV is passed:
Unprotected vaginal and/or anal sex
IV drugs
Mother to unborn/nursing child
It's a good example of how hard is to contract HIV and how other activities outside of the already mentioned (every-day-no-sexual activities specially) don't carry any risk.
