I want to know

hi doctor,
I have been told that we can get hiv infection by sharing toothbrush with AIDS patients
I want to know, in which situation can we  
be infected in this way? that is to say ,how long can hiv suivive on the toothbrush?some minutes ?some hours?or,some days?

Hiv can transmitted by the blood remaining on the toothbrush ,cannot it?

Hiv doesn't survive on toothbrushes because the virus has been exposed to air.
