HIV results on the phone - Valid?

Hi,

Four years ago I had a unprotected encounter with my ex girl friend. I called testing services which asked me to goto labcorp and they gave me my  results in a days time over the phone. Recently I heard that the results will not be provided within a days time and also over the phone.

The test was called icma and It said non reactive with index value <1 . I am not sure of the test results especially they gave the results back in a days time.

4 years later I seem to have issues with my health like falling sick with sore throat almost every month.

Should I get retested through a proper clinic again ?

I do have a copy from labcorp.

Since the incident occurred four years ago can I still take a rapid or antibody test.. Becoz I heard that once hiv progresses to it later stage the body stops producing antibodies and hence the test will not work..

If it was positive they would have told you to come in. I see no reason not to be confident with the test. You can go and pick up the results or ask for them to be mailed to you.
