hiv transmission ...

When I was a child, I remember there was one time where me and my cousin were playing outside and he scratched himself... A very small quantity of blood was dripping( like a drop or something) I don't know why but I licked it and now I have these weird symptoms( for example bad dandruff, white tongue, shortness of breath) and it really scares me. I don't know if he was hiv positive but I doubt it.

It's not annoying it's just not a risk fir HIV.

If you are concerned go and get a HIV test, you do not need one from what you require as HIV is never spread that way, if the test will put your mind at rest then get it done, - IT WILL BE NEGATIVE!

Best Wishes

But are you really sure because people can get from blood splash to mucous membranes and wouldn't the fact that blood was in contact with my oral mucosa a risk... I know I might be annoying and that a lot of people ask you the same question again and again but I'm just too stressed right now ! It seems like everytime I have a cold or runny nose( because of my allergies) or any type of symptoms I always find on the net that they are related to hiv and it scares me. Maybe I'm mentally ill or something but at the moment I can't stop thinking that i'm in some sort of late stage hiv and that I'm about to die...

This is not an HIV concern...you cannot get HIV from a scratch, even from an infected person.

I would recommend seeking professional help, as this is a bit "out there" to be worried about.  The fact that you're thinking about (and worrying about) something from your childhood, in regards to HIV indicates an anxiety issue.

Hi there.

HIV is not spread this way even if your cousin was infected which I doubt very much...

This is a completely irrational fear and I would just cut out even thinking about it as it's so far fetched.

Best Wishes.
