Super worried about HIV

Hello everyone,

Ten days ago I engaged in condom protected sex (oral and vaginal) with a Chinese masseuse. The whole episode lasted no more than 5 minutes. Upon completion I immediately looked for any leaks in the condom and didn't find any, at least nothing noticeable.

I went into it thinking I was fine because of the condom (which she provided). However, literally the next day, I started feeling discomfort in my jaw, neck and chest as well as a slight headache. I've also felt pain in my gums (possible wisdom teeth impact ion?) Since then I've experienced shoulder, back, armpit, groin and leg pain. Today these pains have been strongest. Could these pains be indications of enlarged lymph nodes associated with HIV? I've checked my temperature every day, but it's been normal so far. I know condoms are effective protection but I also know there's no such thing as 100% so I'm very worried.

Please help ease my anxiety about this matter. I know it's too soon to test, but I just need to hear what you guys have to say. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your quick response Chima7. Does the swelling of lymph nodes due to are usually come with pain? I've never had pain in my armpits, it's very unusual...

You're not supposed to be poking your lymph nodes. Poking them causes swelling and pain. Since you're not a doctor you're unable to know what is swollen and what is normal. If you stopped poking your nodes, they would not be sore anymore.

HIV can only be transmitted via unprotected vaginal or/and anal penetration, sharing IV drug works and from mother to child.

As you can see, you did not have a risk and therefore do not need to be tested. Also ARS does not happen that soon after exposure so that's another clear indicator that your symptoms are not related.
