Can HIV be transmitted through swimsuits underwater?

And it's from a friend. He has done stupid things. He has touched a young girl's vulva through swimsuits using mouth or tongue underwater. Is the risk low or zero despite the fact that is through swimsuits. He doesn't know if there is a vaginal secretions and doesn't remember if he had small cut (invisible or not) in his mouth. He is very worried about his HIV status. The last time he had done it was 5 months ago and he did not get tested. I just want to know if there is a risk of licking or kissing the vulva through swimsuits underwater.

Tell your friend he wasn't at risk for HIV transmission. Also, ask him to refrain from wrongdoing, if this by any chance involves an underage or molestation in any way.

No, hiv can not be transmitted through a swim suit.  The only ways adults get HIV is to have unprotected vaginal or anal sex or share IV drug needles.  Transmission takes place inside the body.  Air and saliva inactivate the virus.  Giving oral is not a risk, therefore.  And through the barrier of material?  Absolutely no risk.
