Cuts and Scratches

There seems to be a variety of information on the internet which does seem reliable and some do not. It is very hard to decide/agree on which ones are right or inaccurate. I am a concerned teacher who just needs the right answers, and proper scientific reasoning.

Are small cuts, scratches, shaving nicks which come in contact with another wound  (HIV+ person) approximately 3-4 hours after fresh bleeding able to transmit HIV? and how about if the cut becomes active again (it starts to bleed a tiny bit after)
I also just really want to know, "the skin heals inside out", isn't it still allowing the infections into the bloodstream as it is now "vulnerable"

Thanks
Gupta

Small , medium and large size cuts can transmit hiv only if you have unprotected sexual intercourse with hiv infected person and of course not by shaving and haircut .

Hello
I realized my comment may have a mistake. I have written that i met a friend one day. But the meeting was 25 minutes after i shaved and had the cuts. My post seems to give the impression that i shave a day before the meeting. I meant that one day, i shaved 25 minutes before meeting a friend who licked my chin. The punctures had stopped bleeding and the clots were nor any blood was visible. I wish to know whether there is a possibility of any virus transmitting through the minute vulnerable punctures on my skin.
I think i've explained better now.

Hello
I shaved one day before meeting a friend. I had a few minor punctures that bled and which i took care of. The bleeding stopped and the clots were not visible.

after about 25 minutes, my friend met me, and started to lick my cheeks and chin, where i had had about 3 minute punctures.

Is there a hypothetical chance of contracting anything from his saliva through the cuts at that vulnerable state?

Regards

So just in conclusion, please say you agree, I CANNOT AND NEVER WILL get HIV through any small cuts and shaving cuts because the healing process will block the bloodstream within an hour or two. No matter if I came in contact with another small cut or open wound.

If you've read my journal, there isn't much more I could tell you....I give a detailed explanation.

Cuts are not a risk because of the following:

1.  Skin is comprised of many protective layers.  Superficial cuts do not allow the virus to get to the bloodstream, which it must do to transmit HIV.

2.  There would have to be a HUGE amount of fresh blood on a DEEP cut to present even the slightest risk.  Not a tiny particle of blood diluted in a swimming pool.

3.  The moment you get a cut, it starts healing from the inside, which is to protect you from infection (of any sort).

It's simple....if the virus does not have access to the bloodstream, infection can not occur.  WHICH is why the ONLY methods of transmission are:

1.  Unprotected vaginal or anal sex
2.  Sharing IV drug works
3.  From mother to child

You seriously need to let this go.  YOU never had a risk in that swimming pool.

Hello,

I had sex last night with a sex worker and was wearing a condom, I shaved my pubic hair beforehand and had a shower before sex. After sex I noticed a small razer cut where the surface of the skin skimmed on the base of my penis that wasn't covered by the condom. What are the chances that I have contracted HIV? Please advise.

ty RainLover71, but I need someone to teach me in depth or at least point me into a direction such as an accurate website rather than 3 simple sentences and a "move on." I may seem like I am suffering from Anxiety but I honestly just want to be more educated. I have also read Nursegirl's Myths journal which was enlightening but I just need a bit more explanation.
