How much of the virus?

How much of the virus is needed to make an infection. I posted in another thread that I got guys sperm on my chest, and some of it on a small bleeding cut. I see doctor HHH saying there must be a lot of virus to make an infection. How much is that? Is it less that the amount that can enter a small bleeding cut?

You don't contract HIV from small cuts, abrasions, nicks, hangnails or popped pimples.

Teak, is your statement "Unless you have a large laceration, the chances that you'll contract HIV is nil." valid for slightly bleeding open wounds?

Chris is right, just get a test it will be NEG based on your event. I know you are trying to get the odds in your favor before testing, I do the same thing. Really, no one can assess your risk for your situation. You just have to tough it out till then. Many sites including Dr.HHH say even a 4 week test will give you a good indication so get down to a place that gives the Rapid test and get it done.

good luck a keep the flat side down

Above, Teak answered the question and said that's it's no risk (btw, you considered that the wound was bleeding slightly)...

And another thing on my mind... As Dr. HHH and you say that there must be a lot of virus to make an infection. Then, if a small amount of virus enters the body, it won't be enough for infection. But, human body cannot kill HIV, and since the virus replicates itself inside the body, then can't even a small amount of virus in the body become a large amount?

No one knows an answer to your question. All they can say is that there are probably no cases reported from a situation like yours. I guess you have to assess who the guy was and the risk. Maybe you could ask him to test if you know him. If not, the only answer is to wait like we all had to. Of course that will open the question of how long. For me its 6 weeks although I just tested @ 5 weeks and a day and it took all the stress away.

BTW, are RON'S getting wilder?
