IVIG Plasma Infusion Risk

Dear Community,

I have two Questions about HIV infection: 1. I am receiving IVIG plasma infusion therapy every month, am I safe from HIV infection. 2. After my July Infusion I noticed that I foreign blood on the top surface of both my hands shortly after my infusion. The blood was very close to my fresh puncture wounds from the threaded needle cathetar. Upon seeing the blood I rubbed it on my pants and probably got into my fresh wounds. Do i have a risk of infection in these situations? Thank you!

Nowadays, blood is screened very thoroughly to make sure this is no HIV present in blood or plasma. You've had no risk.
