Hi Everyone,
I'm a gay male and have a few questions regarding an incident with a new partner. I recently went on two dates with a guy and both nights we ended up making out. The kissing was intense both nights. The only problem is that I had a minor sore throat the first night which progressed into a bit more serious case the second. However, being caught up in the moment I did not really think about it and kissed away anyway. Would the sore throat increase my risk of contracting hiv from him? There is a lot of information out there and sometimes it seems to conflict. Also, we touched each others genitals and did some body kissing, which ended in my giving him a hand-job. His semen did get on my hand and cuticles. I'm not as worried about the touching as I am the kissing with a sore throat though. Any insights as to my risk level would be greatly appreciated. This is the only exposure I have had since my last test, so wondering if now testing is warranted. Thanks again.
