Guitar ROX to answer insulin pen injection Hiv plz

Hello guitar Rox if you can answer I promise my life will change

I’m just a worried parent I took help from Hiv specialist but want your approval

Risk : we have insulin pen in the house that have very tiny needle which comes with pre filled medicine in it

I’m worried if my wife or daughter accidentally might get injected by insulin pen if my wife just transports the insulin pen to the room where her father is . IF i assume the some unknown status servant in house  accidentally got injured or INJECTED by insulin pen by pushing the plunger(button )

And my wife accidentally got injected  by it by pushing the button of insulin pen by just transporting the insulin pen to her father

I consulted my doctor he said he gave me three reason why it’s no risk for Hiv

1) accidental injection (pushing the button/ plunger  )  insulin pen have not caused Hiv  so they don’t qualify for you giving Hiv

1b ) Only syringes which drug addicts use can give  you Hiv

2) insulin pen don’t draw blood into the chamber where medicine is stored so even if somebody accidentally used by injecting  the insulin pen blood won’t go into the chamber .

Plz help :/

Can you tell me how INSULIN pens are different?

No, I am not going to reply to that long list of very specific questions.  There is no need to do so, and you have been advised by a PROFESSIONAL that you cannot ever have a risk from an insulin pen.  If that is not enough for you, then nothing anyone can say in this forum will rid your mind of the unnecessary anxiety over this NO RISK event.

If you are unable to accept that this is not a risk, we can only suggest that you see professional help to overcome your anxious thoughts.

Sure I’m
Sorry for the long list I just want To verify why insulin pen is no risk just ONE POINT this will save me from professional help

1) no risk for Hiv because insulin pen cannot draw blood into the chamber if accidentally used because insulin pen don’t have plunger to suck blood out hence no blood can go into insulin chamber (where medicine is stored )

So no vaccum and no Hiv risk if accidentally someone got injected by pushing the plunger of insulin pen

Period that’s it ONE REPLY ONE POINT

Please there is no information out there

Hi - CurfewX already advised you why an insulin pen is not a risk for HIV.  There is no need for our volunteers to repeat themselves, as that is not respectful of the time they give to answer questions here.

I'm not GuitarRox, but your doctor is 100% correct that this is a no-risk event that is not of any concern regarding HIV.

Any blood that is not kept in a vacuum-sealed environment is not infections.  Blood on the needle of an insulin pen is NOT in a vacuum.  Blood inside of a needle with a syringe IS in a vacuum.  There is no comparison, and nobody has ever been infected by an insulin pen.

Forget about this event and anything like it, and move on with your life.

I must thank you for you reply . IF You can please bare with me

1) how are insulin pen different it’s because blood cannot go inside the insulin pen chamber ( where the medicine is stored ) is some accidental used it ?

And after that my wife got accidentally injected by pushing plunger of Insulin pen  no risk because there is no back flow of blood in the insulin chamber if it was used previously  ?

2) i do know that needle is exposed to air but wanted to ask if blood cannot enter the insulin pen chamber where medicine is stored  if it’s accidentally used since insulin pen cannot draw blood correct ?

POINT number 2 is most important

3)In general can you tell also how insulin. Pen don’t qualify for Hiv if accidentally someone injected himself

I’m a bit confused and there is very little information on insulin. Pen
Curfew gave you your answer, so I think your main problem might be you could benefit by studying up on how you get HIV and also how your insulin pen works.  I'd guess you'd also know if someone accidentally used it because the insulin wouldn't be in it anymore, and also, whoever got the insulin that didn't need it would probably be in the hospital.  I believe you have an anxiety problem and should focus on that.  The reason anyone gets HIV from a syringe is from sharing it with someone who has HIV, and even then it's not easy, it's usually people who do it a lot.  HIV isn't your real problem here.
JUST one

Reply it’s NO RISK for Hiv  because insulin pen cannot draw blood back  the chamber where medicine is stored ? Because they don’t have that option they can only push medicine if used accidentally because I don’t think insulin pen  have plunger to pull suck blood out hence no vacuum no Hiv

This only clarification I ask because there is no information out there
