Is it possible to test negative for hiv in the presence of “symptoms”

Hello so heres what happened, a month ago i hooked up with this guy, i was bottom. We used a condom and to my knowledge it didn’t break. The semen was collected at the tip. But ever since ive felt like complete **** since exactly 2 weeks after the event. This monday I decided to just be extra sure and got a 4th generation test through quest at 30 days after the event. I even went the extra mile to get an hiv 1 rna test to support it. I’ve received the 4th generation test and it came back negative however I am still awaiting the rna test to come back. I’m a little bit nervous for the simple fact I’ve never felt this warn down. It doesn’t even matter if I get a full 8 hours sleep I am constantly tired no matter what. So what do you guys think is there some possibility that the 4th generation test would have missed infection if my supposed “symptoms” were in fact due to this horrible disease after 30 days? (No offense to anybody who is positive, you guys are very strong individuals)

You should look for seeking counseling instead of lighting your spliff - which might actually create more issues because you clearly suffer from anxiety, you disregarded the advice that was given to you and also decided to test for a complete no risk scenario. See a therapist.

First of all, you had no risk because you used a condom and it did not break. Using a condom is what prevents HIV from spreading.

Secondly, for someone who actually had a risk, which again is not you, I've seen the experts who used to post here repeatedly tell people that it's not possible to test negative if you're having true HIV ARS.

Thirdly, the HIV tests on the market are among the most accurate of all lab tests available and therefore it's not possible to get a false negative at 30 days post exposure with a 4th gen duo test.
