Hi! Stupid question, but i drank about a litre of water before my test, does this affect the result? I drank it within 2 hours before the test. Thank you
Thanks! When i went to test ive had symphtoms for 6 weeks and still have some of those. Now i have infected folliculites in my legs. Is that something that can be hiv releated? Test was 7 weeks after my tree day fever/flu and six weeks after other symphtoms and 9 weeks after possible expousure. Im just worried because i know something is wrong with me and nothing has been found, and allmost everything has been checked. Im sure that these symphtoms arent caused by stress, or maybe something is. But i wasnt stressed at the point these started. Thanks
" I took the test 9 weeks after that and i had these symphtoms 6 weeks at that time."
You asked about symptoms and testing.
If you were actually HIV infected and had 6 wks of symptoms and tested 3 wks after that then yes, you should have detectable antibodies.
At 9 wks you should test positive for p24 antigen and or antibodies with your fourth generation test. You didn't.
Trust the answer Vance gave you.
Sorry but this is last. I noticed that my profile says im female but im not, i corrected it.
It was 2 weeks after "the night".
Last one... all those symphtoms started after a fever. I had 38.5c for about 3 days also flu like symphtoms at same time. What about that, should i test again or is this just nonsense. Thanks vance for ansvering!
Thanks for ansvering! I know it seems that there havent been any kind of expousure, but there is a big chance that something happened, just dont remember was there protection involved. Sorry about my english but i hope you understand :-) i know this sounds like im just overthinking it, but i just want to know wuold the test be positive if i had symphtoms going on before and after the test for several weeks. I will try to relax, but its hard because i dont know if i have any more blood to be tested because everything has been tested atleast in my opinion:-). Thanks!
9 week test is conclusive, symptoms not related to HIV.
