Hi,
This forum is awesome and I am hopeful that a knowledgable/qualified person can answer my question. I recently had unprotected oral sex with a stripper (I performed cunnilingus on her and she performed fellatio on me) for a few minutes. I did not ejaculate and I'm fairly certain that she did not orgasm either. I am riddled with fear that I have contracted HIV from her. I do not know her status so that is fueling my fear even more. I have read on this forum another others that there is NO risk associated with oral sex, but I've also read information the CDC website, along with others about this that determine oral sex to be low risk.
1) Did my situation put me at risk for contracting HIV?
2) Out of caution, I had tests for other STI's and they were all negative. I also took an Oraquick at-home test at day 43 past the encounter and it was negative. I know that the CDC as well as the Oraquick FAQ's state that 3 months is the rule of thumb for a conclusive test, however I've read alot of other information that at 6 weeks the test should prove to be accurate. Would you agree?
I'm sure most will say that the testing was irrelevant as there was never any risk. That very well could be true but I took the test to calm my fears. It only worked for a day or so before I started panicking again. Just looking for some clarity on my risk and how to handle the anxiety that is utterly controlling me. Thanks!!!!
