Made a stupid mistake now I'm scared!

Hello. I made a terrible mistake and now I feel awful. I have a steady boyfriend whom I haven't seen in about 2 weeks because he's been working a lot. Because I haven't seen him and we haven't seen eye to eye on certain things I have linked up with my ex boyfriend. My ex boyfriend have had sex on three occassions during that 2 1/2 week braket. I'm afraid because all of these encounters have been unprotected and I have also been having sex with my boyfriend unprotected. I am scheduled to get bloodwork and a general checkup with my doctor but I've been so worried. The last time my boyfriend and I had sex was on september 6. And with my ex bf its been september 21, 29 and yesterday. Again all unprotected :-( I'm scared I might have caught something and am just overall guilty.

Here's your chance.

Chances he has hiv 1/10,000
Chance of you getting it IF he's positive 1/1000 per exposure

Do the math on that and relax. Most hiv experts say a 4th generation antibody test at 6 weeks is 99.89% accurate.

My advive, get a duo test at 4 weeks and forget it.

Hi! Wanted to update. I got my tests results and all negative! I will retest again from today 3 months from now to have the 3 month confirmation.I I had a mild bv infection which the doctor believes might have not been bv as some discharge taken came out negative for bv although I had a fishy smell.

Could it have been bacteria through oral sex?

I went to my scheduled appointment and my doctor drew blood for testing. She said she wouldn't test for herpes as its so common. I'm confused at that I thought it was included in all testing.

Secondly, she said I had what appeared to be bacterial vaginosis. She said its not an std but how did I get it when I always keep my genital area clean. I don douche. Could it be because I was unprotected with my bf and ex. I'm so confused.

Also, I am scheduled to have bloodwork done today will those results apply to my current bf being that I've been unprotected with him since november last year. I've only had intercourse with my ex towards the end of september.

No he is 100% straight and neither of them use. I just need to calm down its just so difficult. I'm usually very careful and all for protection as I am not on birth control.

The best way to approach this is to be sure that you use protection with your BF until you can obtain conclusive results.  You will never be able to assess your HIV status by symptoms or by looking at your vagina.

Unless your ex-BF has sex with other men, or is an IV drug abuser, it's highly unlikely he is infected anyway.

Symptoms or lack of will not tell you anything about your status the only way to know your status is by testing.

Also, if there was no ejaculation inside but outside on my stomach what are the risks.

Sorry for asking so many questions I am thinking too much and reading through the posts.

If both my ex bf and currrnt bf have previously tested negative for everything then what are my odds? My bf was tested before us having sex and my ex bf obviously when we were together. We've been broken up for about 2 years and recently linked up.

3 months and only 3 months is when you can obtain a conclusive negative and Yes I have seen people test positive at 8 weeks.

I have never seen a negative DUO then become positive at 3 months but that's just me,i can't speak for other answerers on here.

If 99% accuracy is not good enough for you after 4 weeks then you are not being patient enough.A negative result then will take your fears away.

Would it be conclusive in 4 weeks more than it is in 3or 6 months?

Take an HIV DUO test at 4 weeks post--exposure,it's 99% for the detection of HIV1 then at 3 months take an antibody test.

It would be a waste of time and money to test now.

Can I test now or is it too soon? My ex and I have previously been together months ago but because my current bf and I were using condoms at the time I didn't think anything of it until now.

I'm such a paranoid person. I'm so scared. I haven't felt anything out of the ordinary. But still I feel so out of place and keep looking at my vagina then thinking what if I contracted hiv or something.

You can take an hiv duo test 4 weeks after your last exposure and confirm the result if negative 3 months after this exposure or you can take a simple hiv test 3 months after your last exposure. Try to keep calm in the mean time
