Result accuracy

How accurate is the Aptima HIV RNA qualitative assay 12 days after a risk event.
I used a condom without it breaking with a high risk female.
My test results came back as not detected , which I think means negative.
I know n I will take the 3 month antibody test to be certain, but just wanted to know how much should I rely on this result.
Thank you for any help.

No test is conclusive before 12 weeks. However, you should not concern yourself with test accuracy since you had no risk
You used a condom, ask yourself this...how could you get infected with HIV if the condom didn't break and stayed on?
If you find a way let me know, cause there ain't one. Other STI's maybe, but this is an HIV specific forum.

No and it is not a stand alone test and it is not used to screen HIV. It is used to help confirm multiple indeterminate test results.

Thank you for your comments.. Tht actually does help settle some nerves... I have been running scared for the last 2-3 weeks now...Although if it was just a question in general...

The aptima hiv rna test reasonably accurate after 12 days?
And do I need any other std tests? N if so when?

Again I apologize for repeating the same questions.. But I need to know..

Thank you

You didn't even need to test. You had safe sex.

I guess I did not.. But I m a bit paranoid.. It was the first time I had sex and with someone who has had A LOT (more than 100or more) many partners before.. I did use a condom.. N as far as I remember the tip of my penis was always covered..even whn she sucked it in the beginning.. But I just need to be sure..

So is the aptima hiv rna test reasonably accurate after 12 days?

Thank You
