Can someone answer these two questions?

Hello to everyone -- A friend of mine recently tested HIV pos :( --

I have two concerns -- while I can't be sure, he may have used my toothbrush when I went to visit him. This scared me beacuse I thoght I had a real high risk exposure (I didnt konw much about HIV) so because of this I tested at 2 weeks, 6 weeks 7.5 weeks and 14 weeks. Could someone evaluate my risk from toothbrush?

Second -- I don't know if all my tests where HIV 1 AND 2 -- does that mean worry? My friend does travel to colombia and amsterdam often. So i fear perhaps he has gotten a diferent kind of hiv. Would my test pick these up?

No risk at all from the toothbrush. Forget about it already. End of story.

Most new tests test for HIV 1and 2.  HIV 2 is found in africa. Either way it doesnt matter because you were never at risk anyway.

Your negative. Buy several tooth brushes for when friends stay over. Then you can toss them when they leave.

The toothbrush is issue lies more in the theoretical realm than anything else, its just a conservative precaution.  No risk in toothbrush, assuming he used it, which he probably didnt, the blood would have been exposed to oxygen, and there would be too little blood anyways, and if there was a lot of blood in the toothbrush you would not have brushed your teeth with it, you would of noticed it.  Yeeah take Teaks advice and buy several toothbrushes its not hygenic for people to share them anyways.
