HIV risk with One time unprotected sex with a prostitute

Hello Doctor,
I am a 40 yr old man who visited Philippines for a month long business trip and one of the nights I got high on drinks and since I was feeling lonely I pickedup a casual prostitute and had unprotected vaginal sex with her. Although the act lasted only about a min or two and after that she gave me a ********. This is my first encounter with casual sex and now I am feeling bad and scared that I might have contracted HIV. This is a very recent event and I have not even spoken to anyone including my wife. My questions are:
1. What are the chances for me to be infected with HIV?
2. Do I need to get myself tested? If yes then when?
3. During this period should I continue to have sex with my wife or not?

Pl help because I am quite stressed out and guilty of doing such an awful thing. Thank you.

you have placed your self at risk i really dont understand why would you practice nusafe sex with prostitute

to answer your questions

1-transmission rate is 5-10000 but your activity was a high risk
2-yes you need testing but after 3 month of the last exposure to get accurate results
3-the best thing to do is to level with your wife and use protection until you test negative

can i live in peace of mind although i received unprotected oral sex with four people whom i don't know whether they are + or -?
i want to restart my new life with peace of mind.
What is the chance of contracting hiv from oral sex for me?
If oral sex is not a risk for hiv, what is the reason?
please understand my sad and worried feelings.
i want to get reasonable answers.
sorry if my words were wrong!

Oral is very very minimal to 0 risk
your chances to get HIV from oral is 0
now why there are so many reasons i cant list all of them here but just take my word you did not catch HIV from oral however i am more concerned about your unprotected intercourse as this is a risk and you need testing after 3 month
but dont worry about the oral its no risk

move on

sorry to disturb you again
do you mean that there is no one in this world who transmit hiv from unprotected oral sex only?
what should i do now?
can i live in peace of mind even i had received unprotected oral sex?
but, some people tell that oral sex is a risk of hiv.
and i also want to know whether there is a blood quick test except ELISA?
If so, can this test be correct?

if so, i will ask you one time
one time i received oral sex was with a prostitute
if she gave sucking to another man's penis and she swallowed that man's semen----i mean the oral sex period between the first man and i was so short, can i have a risk of hiv from that man's semen?

I am unsure as to how saying...

"If you had unprotected vaginal intercourse with a hooker, THEN GO GET TESTED!"

This is not scaring anyone.  Regardless of who hijacked the thread, if someone has the opportunity to tell someone to get tested - TAKE IT.

Telling someone to get tested is not scaring someone.  EVERYONE should get tested AT LEAST once a year.

Here's a GREAT piece of advice.  IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBT IN YOUR MIND as to whether or not you may have HIV... Go get tested.

Anyone who says otherwise, is putting people's lives in danger and should NOT be giving advice.
