My story
Dear docs/experts of MH,
during last 3years i have been working in mali and camerun.im 40 and i have good health..getting back in europe i experienced some hiv symptoms according to my doc i was advised to test because is it wise after some unprotected sex with a csw in april 2011.my questions are:
1. Is my test took yesterday final?
2. I am poor educated in infectious diseases..but a friend says that i need some special tests for uncommon hiv african types..elisa isnt very ok..true?what is the special test named?what are rare types and how long takes to be diagnosed?

You don't need a p24 AG test right now, not even an antibody or a combo for that matter. You already have a conclusive, just accept your result and move on.

Your doctor is an idiot, why in the world would some one recommend HIV testing for no reason. You didn't have a risk to begin with. I suggest you stop seeing this quack right away.
Unfortunatly i am not an expert in my father's language. Please try it into english. My doc told me that for elisa 4th generation a so called group or type p would be a concern. True? I have read here that elisa pick it as dr Teak says..

My test was negative. On the printed paper is wrote:
type of the test: Combo Hiv 1+2 AG/AB
method: ECLIA
info: 4th generation (modern test)
just tell me if is ok or not even for those uncommon subclasses from Mali and Camerun countries?the test is performed by Synevo Labs.
