and just once again to repeat:
my information was straight from two main state clinics lincenced for conducting hiv test.
and to conclude this mini debate :)
best regards
Doesn't matter what the division of Yougoslavia is your home. The testing guidelines are the same.
yugoslavia doesnt egsist for more than 8 years.
my information was straight from two main state clinics lincenced for conducting hiv test.
if they are lying to me, then i am lying to you too.
but i wont argue about this. stick to the CDC.
There are no tests marketed or sold to give a conclusive negative test result earlier than 3 months post exposure. Yugoslavia uses the BHIVA guidelines.

Post-test discussion
The need for a repeat HIV test if still within the window period after a specific exposure should be discussed. Although fourth generation tests shorten the time from exposure to seroconversion a repeat test at three months is still recommended to definitively exclude HIV infection.
update:
in my country, official window period is two months/8 weeks + if you use Ab test 3rd generation, and 4 weeks if you use Ag/Ab test.
Yes, 3 months post-exposure is recommended by the CDC for a conclusive test result.
oh, it does make sense. but it would be correct to stress that it is in line with CDC guideline.
For testing we rely on the CDC's guidelines
one question more please,
why do you say three monts is conclusive, when even docs and uni professors here at
medhelp.org say that 8 week is conclusive? i have just read their answers even to people who were exposed to hiv+ partners.
it pretty confuse me.
Doesn't matter, people have been infected from a one time exposure.
and this is single exposure, never had unprotected sex before,
Your 3 month post exposure test will be conclusive.
tests at 3 and 5 weeks also have been negative.
insertive anal sex with guy tested negative 3 weeks after.
