HIV test same for men and women?

Hi; I want to know if the HIV screening test is the exact same for men and women? I live in a 3rd world country so I don’t trust my labs would know much about testing. So I’m a woman and I tested with antigen antibody combo test, but now I have a fear if they gave me correct test. So is the HIV tests given to men and women the same or are women given a different one based on their hormones or something?

Your question has been fully answered by our members that your test would be conclusive at three months and that HIV tests are not gender specific.  We wish you the best.

There's no different test for men and women. It's not gender specific.

So it’s the same screening test for males and females? Even children would be given the same test?
What was your risk? Oral, anal or vaginal and was it protected? What was the child's risk for hiv?
Yes. It tests for presence of antibodies  (body's response to the viral infection) and and a specific protein called p24 in the blood. It doesn't matter what age, sex or color a human being is.
I had but the his condom came off during. So I was worried and got myself tested after 3 months. Can you also tell me if all the hiv test methods like ECLIA, ELISA, CMIA have the same window period of 3 months? I’m not sure which method my combo test was, but the window period would still be 3 months right?
What was the child's risk for hiv?
There is no child! I’m a female adult! I was just asking for my own knowledge if HIV tests are the same for men women and children! Now can you please answer my questions? About the window period for different test methods?
You brought it up without any explanation. Many posters have unrealistic ideas about how it is transmitted to others, so relax with the exclamation points.

4th generation is conclusive after 4 weeks, all others after 12. You have to call the lab to find what test was used.
I just tested at the 3 month mark with combo Ag/Ab test because that was the only test in my city they they do. They don’t do an antibody only test. So would my combo test be conclusive at 3 months? It was negative.
Can anyone please reply?
Sorry I did miss your post that you had tested after 3 months. Because any test is conclusive after 3 months then it doesn't matter which kind you took. You are safe and can move on from hiv.
Thank you. And as for the initial question, do you also agree with the others who commented? That the hiv test for men and women is the exact same? Or do labs give women hiv tests for women, and men hiv test for men?
There is NO different test for men and women. An HIV test is an HIV test, period. I already told you this. Repeatedly asking the same question will not change the answer.
