OraQuick Testing question

Hi Everyone,

I had a risk event about 7 years ago and recently I got a short fever (2 days) follow with loose stool ( only once per day so I'm not sure if it's diarrhea), I also lose some weight and very worry for the past 2 week. I have tested my status using OraQuick. I got the negative result but the test said I could not eat or drink anything 30 minutes prior to taking the test; I accidentaly put a finger in my upper gum to try to swipe before using the stick so I'm not sure if it affect the result.

Thank you everyone for your time,

That would not have any impact on the test result. Your test results are conclusive.

Thank you very much, do you by any chance know if brush teeth or drink before taking the test actually affect the result. I did the test 2 times and for the first time I brushed my teeth beforehand.
