Hiv fear

Sir, Actually i was staying with one man, he is my best friend.

I was using his clothes and sometimes shave with the same blade.

Recently, i came to know that my friend is HIV POSITIVE.

my question and fear is that, i was using his blade to shave and sometimes while shaving it bleeds.

is there is any risk of HIV by using same blade to shave.

pls help

Sharing household items represents no risk for HIV transmission, however it's better to avoid sharing objects like razors or toothbrushes, several studies tried to find out if it was possible to transmit HIV in this way by following several cases, but none of them resulted in transmission.

HIV is very fragile outside the body, there are however other viruses like hepatitis which can be transmitted in this way because they can live way longer outside the body.
