I reckon I have HIV but my doctors just tell me I have IBS

I had unprotected intercourse in 2008 with a woman who I'd been seeing for about 12 days and I repeatedly asked her if she had any health problems and she told me no.
2 days after sex I was cleaning my trouser snake and I had 3 sores/lesions on the head under my foreskin they cleared up pretty quick and I was pretty concerned.
I tried to get in contact with this woman but she wouldn't answer her phone or return my calls and just cut off all contact.

I moved back home interstate and was looking for work and then I woke up one morning in February 2009 and I had this horrible pain in my stomach.
I had this pain for about 4 or 5 days and it felt like I had been stabbed in the stomach it was the worst pain I've ever felt.

Once the pain went away my intestines just went ape **** crazy and were rumbling and growling real bad and I had wicked gas and swollen lymphnodes in my groin.
I freaked out and was **** scared I couldn't have a bowel movement for 10 days and eventually had one with the assistance of some laxatives.

I was taken to the hospital for tests and they told me nothing was wrong and I was like ******** there is definately something wrong.
I've spent the last year trying to get a diagnosis and they just keep telling me nothing is wrong and yet my GI problems started the same time as my swollen lymphnodes and there is NO way IBS causes the reaction I had.

My lymphnodes have gone down but my stools are so messed up either diarrhea or stools that have a clay like texture looks like steatorrhea to me.
I got this dryness on my foreskin that wont go away and I keep getting these fluid blisters on my legs that burst and turn into sores.

My intestines growl all the time, my teeth ache, I've got really bad thrush on my tounge I clean it and a day later its real bad again and I just feel so ill, my doctor is trying to tell me its IBS and that I tested negative for HIV but if its IBS why are all my problems in my small intestine and my stomach just aches all the time.

Im going to a sexual health clinic to get tested again because I honestly believe this woman delibrately infected me and that the tests I've had done are wrong and I guess I'm writing on here to get the opinion of some one who's positive cause I swear my doctor is screwing me over.

It's been nearly one year and I just feel so ill and fatigued I'm past the point of being pissed off and it being a crime I want some healthcare. IBS is something that affects your colon and is something they don't have to do anything about I waited a month and a half to see a GI doc he spoke to me for 2mins and said I have IBS no tests or nothing.

I am so frustrated, scared and dissapointed in regards to my health care I would love to believe its IBS but my whole GI is affected and just the way my body reacted has got me sure I'm positive the first organ HIV affects is the small intestine.

If you would go test then you would know your status. It's really that simple.

I understand what your saying but all my problems are small intestine related and I think Doctors rely too much on IBS because they are lazy.
All these health problems started after sex and my GI problems started the same time as the swollen lymphnodes and then there's the dryness on my foreskin I've tried everything to be rid of it and it just wont go away and my penis just smells real bad and its not a hygeine problem.

I would love to have faith in my health system but there have been too many times in the past where mistakes have been made and we are human, people make them.

Your son has HIV which I'm sorry to hear, may I ask what his symptoms were? I haven't had any drenching sweats or anything.
I thought well maybe I have celiacs or something like that as I am getting these fluid filled blisters on my legs but he just insists its IBS.
I am so frustrated and so bloody tired all the time.

"cause i swear my doctor is screwing me over"   that is irrational thinking...plain and simple.

what you need to understand is that the symptoms of early infection (none of which you have) are the same symptoms associated with many, common, everyday illnesses.  therefore...you cannot use symptoms to diagnose hiv.

i have ibs, diverticulitis, recurrent mouth ulcers and thrush...I DONT HAVE HIV.
