You were not at risk of HIV from what you describe. Condom protected sex is safe sex. Condoms serve as an impermeable barrier that prevents the exchange of body fluids that transmit the virus. Your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV.
I am concerned since I read that non latex condoms do not protect HIV and I dont know whether I used latex or non latex condoms. My symptoms like long lasting fever, lymphnode swelling, blood in the stool are similar to that of HIV symptoms.
Is there a possibility of me contracting HIV with these symptoms
Where did you get the condom?
It was given to me by that lady only
I dont remember the brand or other property of the condom but It was packed and I unpacked it by tearing the packet.
polyurethane condom=non-latex condom

"Effectiveness of Condoms"
There are many different types and brands of condoms available—however, only latex or polyurethane condoms provide a highly effective mechanical barrier to HIV. In laboratories, viruses occasionally have been shown to pass through natural membrane ("skin" or lambskin) condoms, which may contain natural pores and are therefore not recommended for disease prevention (they are documented to be effective for contraception). Women may wish to consider using the female condom when a male condom cannot be used.
Regardless latex or polyurethane condom, you were protected against HIV.
Which means I may have contracted HIV if the condom used by me was non latex one.
What r the chances that I may be infected
My last comment was before I saw your last comment
Is there a remote possibility of infecting the condom with HIV and then re-packing it.
Polyurethane condom (non-latex condom) is just as effective in preventing HIV as a latex condom.
No way!
HIV is transmitted by: UNPROTECTED vaginal/anal sex, sharing needles for injecting drugs, mother to child.
You don't have HIV. End of discussion.
