About two months ago, I fingered a lady whom I don't know her HIV status. There was no other sexual contact AT ALL! I feel safe in saying she probably isn't HIV positive simply by her age. She is an older woman about 50+, but I know this isn't 100% sure. Let me explain why I am concerned. When I finished, I noticed there was a small amount of blood in her vaginal mucus. She was either ending her period, or I possibly scratched her with my finger nail during the process.
I closely checked the two fingers I used in the process, and I didn't see any cuts or torn cuticles on my fingers, yet this freaked me out. I read one answer on here that said NO ONE has ever gotten HIV from fingering, but the doctor didn't say if it was possible to get HIV if blood was present during fingering. Again, I didn't see any cuts, but the fact that blood was there has worried me.
To increase my paranoia, about one to one-half months after this incident, my son came down with a high fever. He is still nursing, and I have had unprotected sex with his mother. I know it is slimy for me to do this, but it will never happen again. I just want to know for sure that I haven't infected myself, my wife, or my baby. Can anyone put my concerns to rest.
