HIV exposure?

I went for a regular blood test to check my cholesterol. When the person was drawing, blood started flowing outside too from the sides of needle and soaked up vacutioner holder. Then when the needle was removed from my arm, the person cleaned the blood from the arm with a cotton ball and kept same cotton on punctured site. My doubt is as blood came in contact with vacutioner holder when it was flowing from the sides. The blood might catch some contaminants from the holder. Could it have passed HIV virus to the wound? Can HIV virus from last patient be present live on holder?
I am having sore throat and really strong headache after 13 days of this.

As our members have accurately stated, you never had a risk for HIV.  We are now closing this discussion as this is not an HIV concern.

No.  HIV fluids, once outside of the body, are not infectious.  You will never get HIV from an object, whether it's a vacutainer, a cotton ball, or any other surface.

Do not have unprotected anal or vaginal sex with someone of unknown HIV status, and do not share intravenous needles with anyone, and you will NEVER have to worry about HIV.

Does virus become non infectious even when blood is not dry? If the last person got his blood draw just two minutes before, his blood would be very much fresh on that Holder, could not see if holder had blood from previous person because as soon as he plunged the needle in the arm blood started flowing out.
I am worried because it's already more than one week and I still have painful sore throat which pains on every breath I take and break out of acne everywhere. I have not had sore throat this long ever till now.
Reread about outside and never (both times). HIV science is 40 years old and well established, so your situation is straightforward.
What made the blood to flow outside the needle while drawing blood? Was there a problem with Needle? What if needle was reused and there was blockage with previous blood thereby causing blood to flow out.
Reread about outside and never (both times).  This is an HIV prevention forum, not a science class for people who don't have any medical training.
Since you don't have any medical training, it is unrealistic for you to think that you have discovered a new method of Hiv transmission that no one else thought of, and that the nurse is infecting people but no one except you has figured this out.
If you say with such confidence I will try not to think about it. But I am not sure as why I still have sore throat that only goes away when I workout. The day I skip the workout pain in throat reappear.
Thank you for you time.
A sore throat is caused by someone coughing on your lips or a door knob etc. so they are to be expected at any time since you interact with other people. It has nothing to do with working out so see doc if concerned.
Yes, it is definitely very concerning. It's not just sore throat. it's painful lymph nodes. It's already 4 weeks and pain hasn't gone away, started just a 6 days after blood test. I have never experienced this before. Everytime I breath lymph nodes under the jaw pains.
Will book an appointment with a doctor.
