I had my blood drawn at the hospital and the nurse had to stick me twice. They opened their materials and put their gloves on last and didn't get blood the first time. Before they drew blood the second time, the nurse put his hand into the sharps container which has a little bin to drop things in before it drops into the rest of the container. My concern is that there is a possibility for blood to be on the inside of the bin where he put his gloved fingers in and he did not change gloves before he re-stuck my arm. Is there a risk of any blood borne illnesses from this incidence?
