Query regarding my HIV Dual tests

Hello,
I was living in Thailand on one of the Islands until a month ago. During that time I had 2 Thai boyfriends. (I am female). I have always been careful until against my better judgement I slept with my ex on the 27 July 2009 twice without using protection. We later split when I realised he was dishonest.
I then met someone else and we formed a relationship. Its now long distance! I only slept with him 3 times but unfortunately on these occassions (21st, 24th August and 2nd September) we really werent that careful. Very stupid of me again I know but you hope you can trust someone.

Anyway, I returned to the UK and decided to get tested for everything on the 2nd October 2009. I went to a GUM clinic that does the dual testing (including the P24 test) I was told by a consultant that the P24 can detect the HIV antibodies 28 days after possible exposure and the standard antibody test as early as 6-8 weeks after exposure .
Well, the tests were 3 weeks ago and I was told if I hear nothing then I am ok.

Luckily and gratefully I havent heard a peep out of the clinic (and they have my address and mobile number) therefore I am presuming I am in the clear?
Please can someone clarify this and have I tested too early and am I getting relieved too soon? How accurate is the P24 test?

Thank you and if I am ok then in future I will not be so irresponsible this waiting has made me see how lucky I may be and also my heart goes out to all those people living with HIV and AIDS

God bless x
