Questions about Acute HIV Test (shortened as AHI)

Hi friends,

I know that I had a low low rish to start with, but would you please answer this question?

When I went to the rapid Test on my 5 weeks mark, they told me that although the Rapid is Negative, it doesn't pick up the recent infection (if there was). So they gave me another test whose results would come back in 2 weeks. They said this test "looked for the actual virus", and was very expensive.

Today the result came back. It says," All test results on the day are normal, which means the test shows no sign of infection". SO I would assume it was negative, right?

My question is: 1. What, on earth, is this test called? PCR RNA?? (on my card it said "AHI", and "2nd test")

                       2. With this virus test at 5 weeks Negative and Rapid test at 6 weeks negative, can I consider this somewhat quite reassuring?

Thank you very much!
