Rape

Dr HHH
I am in my 30s and was raped by a man
I been suffering from stress and anxiety and possible symptoms mention for HIV and other STIs , ever since the incident that took place on  4th of September.
Since then I have been to the local gum clinic and got tested on
9/09/13 negative
27/10/13 negative
15/10/13 negative
30/10/13 negative
Can I count on these tests to be negative for all STIs?  Or should I get tested this week which will make it 10 weeks to the incident, wanted your opinion? sorry I did not mention I am a man and this was anal rape, please help as doctor mention I have to wait until the 4 of December? for conclusive results? Please help

Your 8+ week negative test for HIV is very highly reassuring and rest assured, it will not change in the weeks to come. However for a 100% conclusive result, one has to go for the 3 month (12 weeks).

Your result will NOT change. The experts all say 6 weeks is enough. The window period in Sydney is 6 weeks and they are the best std researchers in the world.
The people on this forum are making you worry more than you should by not giving you the latest information. They love their cut and paste comments from the CDC or from some manufacturer. Fact is, the latest information proves them wrong.
Get a test at 3 months for your peace of mind and focus on dealing with the stress of the event.
By the way, your 'symptoms' are NOT related to hiv. 100%.
