Unprotected sex about 4 weeks ago

I had unprotected sex about 4 weeks ago. About a week after we had sex I started having several problems. I had two very bad cases of a vaginal bacterial infection, very painful breakout of pimples on the right of my right abdomen, several bumps on my face n arms (looks like a heat rash n mildly itches) and nausea. The doctor has given me 4 antibiotics. I've been tested for STDs (including HIV but I know it's too soon). The person I was with refuses to get tested, moved, and doesn't respond to my texts. The worst part is, all of these rashes look very similar to things he had on his body. I realize the only way to rule out HIV is by a test post 12 weeks, but do my symptoms sound alarming? I realize this could all very well be coincidental but i'm consumed with stress n worry. Any input would be helpful at this point.

The antigen part of the test is only good from week one to week four. The antigen part of the the test would be of no use.

It depends which HIV specialist you ask.

So if it's been longer than 4 weeks then the HIV DUO wouldn't be effective, correct?

It's not a waste at all--an HIV DUO is very effective at 1 to 4 weeks when p24 antigen peaks. You still have to have a test at 3 months for a final result.

Teak, Why would it be a waste?

You said it has been 4 weeks the DUO test would be a waste of time and money. Just get an antibody test then retest at 3 months for a conclusive test result.

Yes I have a suggestion--take an HIV DUO test at 4 weeks which is 99% accurate. Then follow up at 3 months for a final test.

you know the drill...3 months post your last exposure.

only a test will tell your status.

Ok. Let my clarify... the first time we had sex was 5/29 and the last encounter was about 4 weeks ago. Not sure if that makes a difference?

the timing is wrong.

ars comes at 2-4 weeks post exposure and lasts for 1-2 weeks
