HIV oral sex

Hello and thank you very much for your time!
20 days ago i had an intercourse with a uknown HIV status male!i gave him oral without condom for 2 mins!He didnt ejaculate inside my mouth! As you mention oral sex carries non risk for HIV!But at the 12th day after the encounter i described i realized that i have a enlarged lymph node under my node!So i visited a doctor!Actually 2 doctors!one said me that is a cyst and the other said me that it is a lymph node!It is not big!It is about 0.5cms but it freaked it me out! Both doctors told me that i have a good mouth hygiene! Moreover i have some red bumps in my torso!Maybe they are from mosquito bites but it is scared me too! Also i have some weight loss!I had no fever at all and i am waiting to check my node or cyst tommorrow! My questions to you!
Have you ever heard of someone to be infected by HIV via oral sex without cumming?
Some say that oral sex carries a low level Risk for HIV while others say that oral sex carries NO risk for HIV!I got confused and i read so much researchers for HIV transimission through oral sex!Dr Hook states that he had never seen a transimission througl oral in his 30 carrer at HIV desease! The exact same thing state also Dr Handsfield!I appreciate them and i trust them but some say that it carries a lower risk!
Thank you once again for your time!

Hello,
Sometimes determinate kind of "risk" that are shown to as (like oral sex or contacting fluids like bood or sperm out of the body) are what we call "theoretical risk" that have never seen as able to transmit VIH. The virus is really weak and looses its capacity of infection out of the body. At the same time, saliva inactivates the virus, as it has been demostrated by scientist.
As long as you protect your anal/vaginal sexual penetrations and as long as you don't share needles, you are ok.

MedHelp adheres to the position of the CDC as well as the input of expert physicians that HIV is only transmitted through unprotected vaginal or anal sex, the sharing of needles, or from mother to child.  We've now answered your question fully that oral sex is not a risk and are closing this thread.  We wish you the best of health.

I wanna ask you just a few questions more!i appreciate your time!As you said to me oral sex carries no risk for hiv! This what many people say in forums such as poz and here!i have read that some doctors run a investigation about oral sex!they used magnetic couples of all kinds!they study them for ten years and the positive partners had variable viral loads!from undetectedable to high!non of the negative got infected by hiv by performing or receiving unprotected oral sex!it estimated that there were about 16000 acts of oral sex!so no risk at these experiment!my question to you!i read some stories of people who are clayiming that they got infected via oral!there are too little but they are exsistant!i know that it is very very unlikely to get infected by oral!it has the same possibility of getting hit by a lighting!but hit by a lighting is not in our hands!having safe sex is!and as long as I have lymph nodes swollen I am very concerned that maybe I am on the minority!i have an appointment with my doc at a few hours!anyway!have you ever find even one case of being infected by oral sex?thank you once again for your time!i know that maybe I being irritate you but I'm so concerned because some say that giving head is a low risk!low risk is still a risk though!thank you!

The manner in which HIV is transmitted in adults is unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse and sharing of IV drug needles.  Theoretical risk is different than real risk.  No one gets HIV from oral sex.  You did not risk HIV from oral sex.  Air and saliva inactivate the virus. With an exposure of oral sex, you should put the idea of HIV out of your mind.  We wish you the best of health.
Thank you Sara for your quick response!I appreciate your opinion! But theoritical risk is also a risk!I read in many articles and investigation tests about HIV that oral sex is low risk regards to anal or vaginal!Since there are not too much documented cases of such a transimission!I know that is a site in which you give suggestions depending on risk and not at symptoms! But i just came from the doctor and he said me that i have two lymph nodes which are enlarged! One in the neck and one at the same side of my groin! The one in the neck is appearing to be normally than the other one!But i am very concered about that!I admit that lymph nodes is my "passion" regards to possibly HIV infection! But since i have these minor or majority symptom i am very frustrated that maybe i have been infected!Never mind i am waiting the result of a 4th gen test i run today! It is 21 days post possible infection!I know that is not too much time but maybe it will help to ease my mind a little bit!Thank you for your time!
A few people actually die every year from a thumbtack injury in the hand that clots and goes to the brain. You don't obsess over this and wear steel gloves all day.
No one in 40 year HIV history got HIV from oral. HIV doctors pay no attention to symptoms, especially self-diagnosed ones that are high probability of just existing in your imagination.
Consider therapy for your HIV phobia because you can discuss your need to accept that you have no medical training but unfortunately are hurting yourself by pretending you can diagnose disease.
Thank you very much AnxiousNoMore for your response!I admit that i have phobia over HIV and i am very caucious when i choose my partners! This time i wont!Even we performed oral sex which is as you say a non risk behaviour i still worry!Never mind you are very kind and appreciate your time you dedicated to answer to my worries! You helped to focus the forest and non the one tree!I will go for a 10km run now in order to relief the pressure of me!Thank you once again!
Consider therapy though, if you later feel anxious about this issue. It is straightforward science, so no need to suffer for a long time in needless fear if therapy can help.
