We are glad that you tested negative but as our members have told you, that was to be expected as you did not have a risk. We are now closing this discussion and wish you the best.

Hi, thanks for the reply...from the hiv fear..yesterday, i have tested for HIV elisa and the result is negative, but the index value in report is 0.40...but when i tested 1 week back, the index value was 0.24....what does it means? is there any risk on why the index number is increased?
None. ZERO. A blood draw takes blood OUT of you. It doesn't put anything at all INTO your body.
As an adult, the only risks for HIV are:
1) having unprotected, penetrative vaginal or anal sex, or
2) sharing IV drug needles with other IV drug users.
If you don't do either of those activities, you will NEVER have to worry about HIV.
