Receptive Anal - can’t remember the condom.

Hello. Visiting Turkey and got a little drunk. Met a transsexual at a bar and agreed to go back to their place for a massage.

I lay down on the bed naked to receive a massage and they started to lubricate my ass and fingering my ass.

Second they tried to enter me (without a condom) and I THINK I asked them to use a condom (there was a packet on the bed), she paused for a bit and then commenced penetrating me, I had hoped she put on a condom, the sex was uncomfortable and did not last long - there was a few pumps, stop, few pumps stop.

I then got up and said I was done - at this point I think she did remove something from her penis but cannot be sure.

I am 48hrs past exposure and originally saw this as protected incident. As it was the highest risk event possible (if it was unprotected) so it has got me wondering whether the condom existed or whether it was used completely.

Should I get PEP?

Well, they had condoms laying out. That would indicate that they don't want to get HIV either by risking unprotected sex with YOU. So, I'd guess that they used one. Pep is reserved for having unprotected anal or vagina sex with someone KNOWN to have HIV. It's  hard medication to take. But here is the deal. We weren't in the room. You will have to make the judgement call if you had actual unprotected sex or not. Most doctors would not give you PEP for such a what if scenario. Like I said, hard to take medication (lots of side effects). I'd personally not worry much and just take a 4th generation test 28 days past the event.

Thanks. Yes some doctors I spoke to said the same. Turkey has a low HIV rate and although she was high risk there was not enough evidence to provide PEP. I’ll test in 4 weeks
Ok now I am a little worried. I didn’t take the PEP as I was confident enough that a condom was used.

Day 10 post exposure is started to get a stiff neck and dull headache (in temporal region) this has lasted 4 days now which is a little odd.

I don’t think I have a fever but I am getting tired pretty quick and feel quite run down and certain parts of the day - don’t have a thermometer.

No sore throat.

Today (15 days post potential exposure) there is a light rash over my arms and torso.

I know HIV cannot be diagnosed by symptoms but this doesn’t seem too great right?
None of your "symptoms" are specific to HIV.
Test at the right time to know your status.
"I know HIV cannot be diagnosed by symptoms"...... If you stay off google, it will help a lot because there is nothing useful there, including the symptoms analysis that you are doing.
