Confusion about HIV status

Hello,

I need some clarification on some things to assist in my understanding of HIV.

I am a male who has sex with males, and the past week I had sex with an individual who I did not ask the status at the time of sex.

We did the following- make out, oral (unprotected), fingering, and I was the top in the anal sex (protected). Now, I decided to ask him the following day and he proceeded to tell me he is HIV + undetectable and that he is current with his medication.

I myself is extremely upset that he withheld the information from me. Can someone explain this to me? Should I go get tested? I am confused and scared. I can only assume that he is current, which, at this point, his creditability is worth nothing.

Advice? Anyone.

The only risks for HIV in adults are:
1) Having unprotected anal or vaginal sex, or
2) sharing intravenous needles with IV drug users.

You cannot get HIV from any of the activities you mentioned.  If he is undetectable, he almost certainly could not transmit HIV anyway.  But, it doesn't matter since you didn't do anything that put you at risk for HIV.
