i understand your fear and anxiety...but you must understand too that the only true way to know if you are infected is to test.
#1...hiv is a very fragile virus and not really that easy to transmit. even if someone has hiv...it is NOT an automatic infection if you have sex with them
#2...it is harder for a man to contract hiv from a woman than vice versa.
#3...the chance that this girl had hiv is very loooooooooooooooooooooooow.
you have been advised when to test for an indication of your status and for a conclusive result.
louise im sorry for saying stuff which isnt needed, im just really worried about this. Its my 21st birthday next Saturday and im just after some re-assurance so im not stressed out through the whole period of waiting for my results.
i dont even have to look at the picture. a white patch of skin on your chest has nothing to do with hiv.
Here is a small image of the white patch of skin i found on my chest, im just wanting to know if this in anyway would be related to HIV symptoms?

it seems to have faded slightly from a day of using the topical cream.
After reading around the web more i really do think this is again down to my anxiety, when I was worried about going for my first STD test i was light-headed and felt tired also, but it went away ones i realised there wasn't actually anything up with me.
It seems suspect how the feeling of everything starts as soon as i discover the white patch of skin on my chest.
Im hoping it is just anxiety and a test can clear that right up, i don't know why my mind is so susceptible to this kind of thing though ;(
Symptoms dont mean anything when it comes to hiv........ Stop looking them up like lizzie has said test at 3 months for a final and conclusive result
could just be a coincidence* typing mistake
Do the symptoms im describing sound like it could possibly be HIV though? I spoke to the girl for the first time in a few weeks a few days ago and she said she was feeling sick and had diarrhoea, could just be a confidence, but these all seems to fit too much with the symptoms of HIV.
Its been 8 weeks now, so I suppose the results of the test on Tuesday will tell me if i have caught HIV.
the protected sex was NO risk.
any time you have unprotected intercourse...you put yourself at risk for hiv. you can test at 6-8 weeks post possible exposure to have a good indication of your status...but follow that up at 3 months for a conclusive result.
