I wanted to add: I was wearing a lace thong that night so also worried some could've slipped through. We had no penetration at all. Some rubbing/touching/kissing. I went yesterday to get a full std workup but I know it was too early, although the Nurse Practitioner said it's highly unlikey. What were my risks or is further testing for HIV with this exposure even necesaary? I'm still so worried some got inside more so than anything when I cleaned up.
Sorry, I know I posted somewhere else and got warned for it. For some reason it wasn't letting me post on this question from my phone until I restarted my phone. I apologize for being a nuisance.
As an adult, the only risks for HIV are:
1) having unprotected, penetrative vaginal or anal sex, or
2) sharing IV drug needles with other IV drug users.
Nothing else you can think of, including the event you described, is a risk for HIV. Semen, once outside the body, is not infectious even if it enters your orifices. There is no detail you could add to this event that would make it a risk for HIV.
