Seven week negative with symptoms?

Your answers to people have been very reassuring, I too hope to draw some solace.

I: Male, 26, Indian.
History: Open mouth kissing with a male, immediately terminated upon tasting blood, rinsed mouth with plane water within 10 seconds. Date known. Jan 1st, 3:30 AM.

Tests so far: Third week rapid test, negative. Seventh week CMIA Duo (HIV 1/2 and p24) Negative.

Confusion: In a February afternoon, swam for three hours on a beach in week seven. Immediately followed by two days of red and sore trunk (gone on the fourth day)- followed by plain flaky skin. Throat a little sore now.

Question: Does the seven week negative test duo stand conclusive, or do the conditions described in 'confusion' are a reason to still bite my nails? I just hope skin and throat are owing to sunburn alone.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Thanks Lizzie! I hope the three ringworm-like lesions are little to worry about too!
I'm tempted to attribute these to the hot and humid weather in Mumbai... what they might be, in the worst case?

if you tested everyday for a month...that number would vary both ways...up and down.

you are conclusively negative...you dont have hiv

My 84 day CMIA test also turned out negative... however
i) The value has increased from 0.11 to 0.13
ii) At the end of fourth month, I've developed ringworm-like lesions on my buttock- sacral area.

Is this any STD complication? Or am I obsessively paranoid about STDs/HIV?

Teak, Lizzie, Vance, Kumar and friends, please give me your opinion. I'm trying to calm myself, but it's working against me.

Thanking you in anticipation.

None offense taken.  Vance was just pointing out that there are two forums: one that is open for all people to start threads on, and one that you have to pay to ask questions of the doctor.  The doctor doesn't post on the public forums.

In either case, you won't need to make any further postings since you did not have any risk of contracting HIV.

Hope I didn't sound like belittling either of your responses. Sincerely, I didn't mean to. Appreciate your concern and will to response. Thanks a lot, Vance and Worried!

Thanks 'Worried', those posts were reassuring indeed. I hope Dr. HH takes time to write too. Shall go to bed with some peace tonight. Regards.

Burden,

You were never at risk.  As Vance says, kissing is not a risk.

Also, check out these links from Dr. HHH:

http://www.medhelp.org/posts/HIV-Prevention/Blood-in-mouth/show/255928

http://www.medhelp.org/posts/HIV-Prevention/Kissing-Concern/show/684517

He states that even swallowing large amounts of infected blood would probably not result in infection.

Thanks Vance, for your answer, but isn't blood in a kiss a risk factor?
