May be because of the one about the ice cream and fruit I too should stop listening and reading things on the web.

That may be a good place to start.

Hi Lizzie,

It was just an honest question and I thought that I knew the answers to most but I also thought it would be good for other browsers to see in writing how difficult it is to get Hiv outside a  helthcare setting unless they are practising unsafe sex or injecting drugs. There is so much ignorant stuff on the web that I think it is good to see honest answers by experienced people on a site such as this. - May be because of the one about the ice cream and fruit I too should stop listening and reading things on the web.

Take care and regards

Teak sorry just read again and presume when you say NO that it is answering the actual question that no one has ever been infected by the above and not concerning when I wrote is there anyone able to answer this question? Thanks just to be 100% clear.

I read once that someone could possibly have been infected via an ice cream / lolly (blood) and another with some blood on some fresh fruit after the seller had cut himself. Are  these just urban myths?

Thanks Teak for the quick come back. That is good to know and it should make the worry wells......Well feel less worried! It shows that it is very hard to get infected unless you are having unprotected sex etc..

Keep up the good work and all the best
