HIV concern

Hi Everyone, I am Jacky from Singapore. Today is HIV's Day that made me to worry about my HIV status.

I had several times vaginal sexes with sex workers. And I remembered I had some sypmtoms after some of the sexes.

3 years and 1 months ago: I got a sore throat @ 3 weeks after the protected vaginal sex.
2 years ago: I got a sore throat @ 3.5 weeks after the protected vaginal sex. And I caught a cold @ 7 weeks after the sex.
1 year ago: I got a dry throat @ 2 weeks after the protected vaginal sex.

I only did a HIV test 2.5 years ago. It was negative. I am scared as I know the sore throat is one of the classical sypmtom of HIV. And some site says the protected sex is not 100 percent safe. I never checked the condom b4 and after using. People says if the condom breaks that will be very obvious. I believe. But if I use a new condom that has some very very small holes which are not easy to be seen, then start the sex. Will the condom be broken after the sex or not?

And I am really scared about the SORE THROAT. My friends say nervous and stress may cause your sore throat.
IS THAT TRUE? I know the hiv sypmtom will happen at 2-3 weeks after the exposure. I become more and more anxious and worried when the day close to 2 -3 weeks after my sex... then the sore throat is really appeared. Is it related with my thoughts??

Finally, Do I have any HIV risk please? Many many thanks for your kind suggesions!

Thank you.

Jacky.

The symptoms you describe are not related to hiv.
You can still visit a doctor and find out what are these symptoms about.
From the incident you describe hiv is not the issue here.
Take care

Hi Dear BeStrong,
Highly appreciate for your kind help. Can I understand your reply as my condom was intact after sexual practices. Coz if a condom fails in a sex, it's always be noticed easily. I didn't see any damage when I took my condom off, then it's a safe sex. Right?

Btw, I had only 2 times sore throat in past 3 years. And they all happened at about 3 weeks after myy sexual practices. This is the point I scared!
But the good news is my friend told me stress and anxious can cause the sore throat. Is that possible? Because I know the sore throat always happen at 2-4 weeks after the exposure. So when 2 weeks after my sexual practices, I scared the symptoms will come out, specially the sore throat. And it really comes. Are my sore throats were caused by stress or the power of psychological hint? Are they possible, please?

Many thanks to you again!

Hi,
As far as I can understand you had protected sex so you shouldn't be worry about hi transmission. If a condom fails it is obvious and you would have noticed it right away. keep in mind that, as far as sexual practices are concerned, hive can only be transmitted via unprotected vaginal or/and anal penetration.
