None of your symptoms are indicative of HIV they came on to quick. Since you had unprotected sex you can test at 6 weeks and if that test is negative get your 3 month test and it will be conclusive.
Hi Teak,
Thanks so much for your quick reply.
The symptoms are shown on so many sites as symptoms to HIV. I clearly understand that fact that it's way too quick, but I don't believe I'm a healthy person.
I drink excessively and really only have 1-2 hours sleep on a daily basis.
However, I am NOT a drug user... I'm thinking that, is it possible that my lifestyle has lowered my immune system to such a way that the virus can attack me So quick??
I also read on forums that once symptoms start, this is when the virus is most at work. If the symptoms I am showing now is in fact the HIV virus at work, will my test today show positive?
I am asking this question because I'd be grateful if the test I did on Saturday shows up negative tomorrow. That means I wouldn't have given it to my ex.
To me, at the end of the day, my life is my own which I can decide whatever to take or to do anything at any time. I don't want anyone I know in trouble...
Doesn't work that way. You were advised as when to test.
i do have night sweats...
eventhough tested negative until 37 weeks after exposure..
my doctor said it's all about anxiety, fear, depression...
relax and get tested as per teak's recommendation..
Thanks for the advice...
The thing is, I never thought about STD's or didn't even worry (because of how stupid I was) until after pain on my penis 6 days later. But I started the sweats 3 days before the worry. Which means, the sweats were surely not from anxiety or fear.
I'm sure I've got something, but highly worried for HIV.
I'm in Sydney, so rules are different here. The doctor gave me a test straight away yesterday telling me that the results shall come back negative and re-test in 4 months time.
I've gone back to the doctors today again and was told one thing:
If all these symptoms are occurring because of HIV, the test shall test POSITIVE. which means that if it's negative, it is something else causing the curent symptoms. However, this does not rule out symptoms that I may incur in the next 6 months.
Is that TRUE??
I am asking this because, results for yesterday's test come out within 2 days. I want to know whether I may have given it to anyone else!!!
I really want to get medical advice, but the forum is full already for questions to be asked to experts...
What should I do???????/
Is it true that if there is symptoms showing HIV, then if it in fact is HIV, the result will show positive??
It's hard to explain.
scenario A: If I have in fact HIV and showing symptoms.
Will the test MUST show HIV positive??
That's an easier way of questioning...
you need to get tested and that's what you done...
6-8 weeks post exposure for good indicator..
12/13 wks for conclusive results...
anxiety will cause a lot of physical symptoms...
