Symptoms

I've been reading a lot of entries on the forum, and the most common response is that their symptoms are not suggestive of hiv or ars even though they are similar.  I guess my question is, what symptoms are suggestive of ars/hiv??

If one has ARS it comes on 2-4 weeks post exposure and it lasts from 1-2 weeks. The only way to know if you've had ARS is after you've tested POSITIVE not before.

I had unprotected vaginal sex with a "friend" of mine on numerous occasions back in July.  I put friend in quotes just because I think she's a liar.  Anyways, about 4 weeks later, I had all the suggestive symptoms on line (fever, sore throat, lymphadenopathy, thrush, diarrhea, etc.).  She told me that she has been tested and has never been positive for anything, but I've caught her in so many lies, that I just don't trust her or consider her a "friend" these days.

The sore throat and fever went away about a week after the onset, but it's been about 3 months later and I still have thrush and have been constantly weak, dizzy, and tired.  I know that these symptoms are suggestive of mono/ebv as well.  Does the duration of ars usually last this long?  I know the best way to be sure is to be tested, and I know it's past the 3 month mark so I plan to do so.  I just wanted your expert opinion please...I really appreciate it.
